Daisuke, a renowned acupuncturist in Queenstown, has been a valued part of my community for years. His exceptional skill and dedication to his craft have consistently impressed me.

Our shared passion for Japanese craftsmanship has deepened our connection. Inspired by the intricate woodworking techniques of his homeland, Daisuke has always admired my furniture designs. His dream of owning one of my pieces was finally realized when he approached me to collaborate on his new acupuncture practice.

Thrilled to support his entrepreneurial journey, I eagerly agreed. As Daisuke prepared to launch his business at the Align Pilates studio in Remark's Park, we faced a challenge: the lack of natural light in the space. Undeterred, Daisuke embraced the opportunity to create a truly unique environment.

Gathering a team of talented artists and craftsmen, Daisuke envisioned a space that would connect him with nature. Camako Builders was tasked with constructing a timber frame to envelop the room, bringing a sense of the outdoors indoors. Using sustainably sourced swamp Matai and native Totara from South Westland, I crafted a stunning structural element that transformed the space.
