The Camako Story
Camako Builders LTD is a locally owned and operated Queenstown residential building company born from a love of creating builds with soul. Led by Nick Jordan, the team are specialists in mid to high range new builds, and timber framed homes.
Nick's love for construction and timber work began at an early age after school, working for his Dad's successful shop-fitting company. At 16 years of age, he dove straight into a building apprenticeship so he could begin to formally learn the craft. Two 2 years spent in high-end shop fit-outs, then progressed to finishing his apprenticeship at Clive Barrington Construction; one of Christchurch's most notable architectural building companies. A love for adventure and snowboarding took him to Canada, where his passion for bespoke timber work came alive as he worked with Concept West Developments; a company specialising in timber frame homes and interior timber finishes. A return to New Zealand, contracting to high-end residential companies, and then starting a family sparked the dream of Camako, a way for Nick to bring his own expertise to residential home clients.
Why is This Important?
Camako was founded on the idea of combining detail-oriented, quality builds with a care-based approach to construction. A broad level of experience working with among high-end finishes and homes has developed a building company with a passion for quality and a high level of respect for their client's clients’ trust and investment. The outcome? A builder that cares, and goes the extra mile on the build, delivering the client the best result possible.

Nick Jordan
(Company Director & Project Manager)
With over 20 years of vast experience in the building industry, Nick leads Camako with a focus on client care and outstanding workmanship. When not on the building site you'll find him completing a woodwork project, or with his wife Megan and two sons enjoying the best of Queenstown's natural landscape.
Mike Jordan
(Lead Carpenter)
Mike is Nick's younger brother and is a quality asset to the Camako team. Mike's foundational experience in high-end shop fit-outs teamed with 20 years of building, means a sharp eye for superior quality finishing that really helps our builds to stand out.
Gabriel Rojo
(Apprentice Carpenter)
Gabriel is our newest addition to Camako Builders. Originally from Chile, he made the move to NZ to pursue his love for the mountains and adventure. We love the skillset he brings to our team, from his work in joinery, fencing, and GIB fixing. With two years of his apprenticeship already complete, Gabriel is fast learning to provide the quality that Camako's work is built upon.
